A painting lets us see what an artist has created. Sometimes, their words invite us to understand a little more.

Some entries to the 2026 Colibri Visual Arts Competition, “Dreams Without Borders,” arrived with thoughtful explanations, personal reflections, and stories behind the images.
Those words have not been forgotten.

Behind the Artwork will introduce selected stories from the submissions, alongside the artworks that inspired them – offering a closer look at the ideas and imagination of our young artists.

We’ll begin sharing these stories after the competition results have been announced, gradually adding new posts over time.
For now, explore the galleries and enjoy the artworks. Soon, you’ll hear from the voices behind them.
